Lady Pirates open new field by crushing Scottsburg, 11 0 PDF Print E-mail

 

The Lady Pirate softball team hosted Scottsburg Thursday, April 12, while breaking in the new home field on the campus of Charlestown High School.

Alli Webster struck out nine, allowed only two hits from the circle, and hit a triple offensively. Alyssa Price celebrated her birthday by going 2 for 3 with a double, a triple and two RBIs. Shelby Godeker also finished 2 for 3 with two RBIs.

“I thought we dominated from top to bottom in all phases of the game,” Lady Pirate Coach Kevin Zollman said, “defensively, pitching, offensively.”

The Lady Pirates now stand at 5 3 overall and 3 1 in the Mid Southern Conference.
