The following is combined information for those wishing to help.

1. Donate cash.  The Washington County Community Foundation has established a Disaster Relief Fund.

· To donate, please visit their website at and click on the donate now button in the upper left corner.

· Mail or deliver a check to the Foundation office at PO Box 50, 1707 North Shelby Street, Salem, IN 47167.  Be sure to put Disaster Relief Fund in the memo line.

· Call 883-7334 with any questions.


2. In the harder hit areas they are needing people that are site seeing to stay away because it is effecting there efforts to secure the area and begin clean up.


3. American Red Cross

· Donate money not items

· They are stationed at the American Legion in Salem

· They need Blood

o West Washington High School Blood Drive

4. Pekin United Methodist Church

· They are in need of:

o Personal hygiene items ( toothpaste, all forms of soaps, deodorant, toothbrushes, etc.)

o Towels, and wash cloths

o Blankets and pillows

o Gift Cards to major stores (Jay C, Wal-Mart, Lowe’s , Home Depot, etc. )

o They are also excepting cash donations and 100% goes toward disaster relief.


5. The following items can be donate and dropped off at Pekin Fire Department to aid with clean up:  gloves, cleaning supplies, buckets, rakes, totes, laundry baskets, wheel barrels, shovels, flashlights.
