Light Up New Washington set for this Saturday PDF Print E-mail

For the first time in the community’s history, New Washington will have a Christmas tree to celebrate the Christmas season.
The New Washington Beautification Committee has worked with a team of local craftsmen to design and build a 27’ tall Christmas tree which will be lit with over 10,000 LED lights. It will
stand on the lot next door to A Step Back Historic Restaurant, across from the New Washington State Bank on Main Street in New Washington.
The Light Up New Washington Ceremony will include a thank you presentation to all the people who worked and donated to make the tree possible beginning at 6 p.m. on November 26. There will be Christmas music and refreshments will be available at the historic A Step Back Restaurant next door.
In the afternoon, the Light Up New Washington Christmas Bazaar will be open from 2 to 6 p.m. with goods from local craftsmen and vendors at the Masonic Lodge. The New Washington After Prom committee is planning to sell chili and other refreshments.
Come out and celebrate on Saturday night, November 26 in New Washington. Bring your family
and your camera and join them in celebrating the spirit of the Christmas season.
