Lady Mustangs earn victory PDF Print E-mail

The Henryville Lady Hornets went up against the New Washington Lady Mustangs in action on Friday, November 18.
The New Washington team started on off the first quarter of the game with 18-12 lead over the Lady Hornets.
During the second quarters, the Henryville Lady Hornets took on seven more points, but New Washington was dominate in the scoring with ten points, giving the Lady Mustangs a 28-19 lead heading to the locker room.
During the second half, the Lady Hornets scored ten points, compared to New Washington’s 18 points in the third quarter, bring the Lady Mustangs with a 46-29 lead.
Scoring increased for the Lady Hornets with 17 points in the fourth quarter outscoring New Washington’s 14 scored points. However that was not enough to pull out a victory, as New Washington received the victory with a 60-46 score.
“The Last few minutes of each quarter made a real difference in the outcome of the game. New Washington did a nice job closing out the quarters. We did see a lot of positives that we can build on,” noted Henryville Coach Josh Conrad.
Leading scorers for Henryville were Allison Knox 23, Jasmine Harrell 4, Richey 3, Spears 1, Gilstrap 11 and Burgin 4.
New Washington’s leading scorers were Kriston Sarver with 17, Amick with 10, Mudd with 8, Kaira Doherty with 8, Ricks with 8, Kasie Doherty with 3, and Johnson with 2.
