?    The Horseshoe Foundation of Floyd County will five $350,000 in grants to benefit the Floyd County community in the fall grant cycle. Grant applications are now being accepted. To be eligible to receive a grant, completed grant applications must be postmarked by September 30th, 2008 and all previous final grant reports must be completed. Charitable organizations, educational institutions, and governmental agencies which benefit Floyd County citizens and fit the grant guidelines are welcome to apply.
    Grant program guidelines, policies and grant application forms are available on the Foundation’s new website, www.horseshoefoundation.org.
    Paper copies of the applications and annual reports are available at the Carnegie Center for Art and History, the Floyd County Library, the New Albany Mayor’s Office and One Southern Indiana on Charlestown Road and I-265. It is recommended that all potential applicants download or obtain new copies of the grant application packages at any of these locations since changes have been made to the application.
    The Horseshoe Foundation of Floyd County, formerly Caesars Foundation was established in 1999 by Caesars Indiana, in partnership with Floyd County and New Albany officials as a way to provide an additional funding source for community organizations in Floyd County. Caesars Indiana has now rebranded as Horseshoe Southern Indiana. It provides resources to nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, and governmental agencies for the benefit of residents in New Albany and Floyd County. The Horseshoe Foundation of Floyd County through the two annual grant cycles, with a total of $15.8 million including scholarships and major grants.
