The City of Charlestown would like to remind residents that City Hall will be closed on Monday, July 4, in observation of Independence Day.  
This includes the Mayor’s Office,  the office of the Clerk-Treasurer, and Water Billing Department.
Trash pick-up for Monday, July 4 will be rescheduled for Tuesday, July 5.
The regularly scheduled meetings for Board of Public Works and City Council will take place Tuesday, July 5 at 9 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. respectively.
Normal office hours will also resume on Monday, July 5.
New Date for Talent
Showcase in Greenway Park
The Charlestown Parks & Recreation Department is looking for local talent to perform in Greenway Park on Saturday, July 30. 
Showcase will begin at 6:00 p.m. 
Each performer will have 6-10 minutes to perform.  Sound systems will be provided.  Performers must bring their own music on CD. 
We are looking for music, instrumental, magic, comic acts, etc.  Groups or singles are welcome.  All performances must be “clean” family entertainment.  You must register by Thursday, July 21st, at 6:00pm.  Please email Rhonda Davidson  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
