The Lanesville Heritage Weekend is hosting the 2008 Ferguson Enthusiasts of North America (FENA) exposition. According to Amy Watson, co-chairperson of the antique tractor display, a Ferguson TO-20 tractor will be dismantled and reassembled by four gentlemen from Ireland. According to Watson, it will take 20-22 minutes because of the metric tools in Europe versus the standard tools here in America. “This is quite a sport in Europe.” Watson said. A 6-man crew in Europe, according to Watson, can reassemble this same tractor in 12-15 minutes, after which
it will immediately be driven around on the grounds.
The theme for this year’s parade is “Sharing Our Heritage”. Larry and Jo Ann Baker Co-chairpersons of the parade may be contacted by calling them at 812-952-3206 for reservations. The deadline for reservations is Sunday, August 31.
