It didn’t take long for authorities to arrest a suspect in an armed robbery Friday, Oct. 29.
Washington County Prosecutor Dustin Houchin, alleges that Holly Chastain, 32, Salem went into The Dutch Bakery Store with a pair of scissors in hand and committed the robbery.
Houchin said Chastain also told the cashier that she had a gun.
Chastain left the store with $160, but workers at the store got her license plate number and not long after the incident, she was stopped by a Washington County Sheriff’s Department deputy.
Chastain is being charged with robbery, a Class B felony.
Houchin said she is also a habitual offender and if convicted she faces a sentence of between 10 and 30 years.
She is being held at Washington County Detention Center. Her bond hearing was set for Monday.
