Chili contest, supper and hayride at New Frankfort Oct. 30
The New Frankfort Pentecostal Church will be holding a chili contest and supper on Saturday, October 30, along with a hayride at the church.
All families are encouraged to come out and enjoy a wonderful night with food, fun and fellowship.
The church is located five miles east of Austin on State Road 256.
Special youth service on Oct. 31 at Chelsea COG
The Chelsea Church of God is having a special youth service Sunday Morning at 10:45 a.m. on October 31.
New Breed Youth Ministry, under the direction of Stephanie and Jason Blevins will host the service with Pastor Terry Eversole bringing a sermon for the hour forth. Come be a part of C.H.A.N.G.E. taking place at Chelsea Church of God.

Revelations being taught at CCOG
Pastors Terry and Anita Eversole, along with the congregation of the Chelsea Church of God invite the public to attend Pastor Eversole’s teaching on Revelation.
This indepth study is like none Pastor Eversole has taught. The entire book of Revelation will be covered and brought to life through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Come join in on some of the most insightful teaching and learn how to escape the tribulation, and give instructions to those who might choose to be left behind after the rapture.
The study will take place on Sunday evenings. Service times for church are Wednesday night 7 p.m, Sunday morning Sunday School 10 a.m. with Sunday Morning Worship at 10:45a.m. and Sunday evening at 6 p.m. Children’s church and nursery will be provided at each service. Come be a part of what God is doing. The church is located on State Road 62.

Underwood Baptist Church Fall Festival Oct. 30
The Underwood Baptist Church will be hosting a Fall Festival on Saturday, October 30, from noon until 4 p.m. There will be free soup, sandwiches and games for the whole family. Everyone is invited to attend the fun and fellowship.
Trunk or treat at kids place Oct. 29
Kids Place will be hosting a Trunk or Treat Friday, October 29, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Hot Dogs and Hot chocolate will be served to all the little Ghosts and Goblins!
Pizza lunch with Scott County Homeschoolers Oct. 28
Homeschoolers of all ages are invited to enjoy a pizza lunch with Scott County Homeschoolers at Lake Iola on Thursday, October 28 at noon. Please call 812-820-9002 to let us know you are coming, or for more information about the group.
Cloggers holding lessons starting Nov. 1
The Hoosier Edition Cloggers will start beginner lesson starting Monday, November 1, at 6:30 p.m. at 2089 West Little York Road in Scottsburg.

Take Off Pounds Sensibly Open House Nov. 9
Take Off Pounds Sensibly Open House will be held on Tuesday, November 9, from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Vienna Methodist Church. For more information contact Norma at 752-4585 and Linda 752-5355.
Trunk or treat Oct. 30 at Memphis Church
Trunk or Treat is scheduled for Saturday, October 30, at Memphis Christian Church from 7 to 8:30 p.m. There will be hayrides for kids, pumpkin painting, marshmallow roasting and of course treats, hot soup, chili being served.
VFW handing out candy Oct. 28
The Scott County Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6582 members will be passing out treats on Thursday, October 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. to kids up to 12 years of age. Kids must be with their parents.

The Multi-Color Corporation will be handing out candy for the community children this year on Thursday, October 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. The factory is located at 2281 S. U.S. 31 in Scottsburg,
Chicken dinner Nov. 7
An all-you-can-eat chicken dinner will be serviced on Sunday, November 7, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with home-cooked pot-luck side dishes and desserts. The dinner will be held at the Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church located on U.S. 31 and State Road 160 in Henryville.
Revival in progress at Broadway Church of God
The Broadway Church of God, located at 324 Broadway in Austin, is in revival. There are different speakers each night starting at 6 p.m. each evening. The community is invited to attend.
Hampton Oaks handing out candy Oct. 28
Hampton Oaks will be giving out treats to trick-or-treaters on Thursday, October 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. The facility is located at 966 N. Wilson Road in Scottsburg. All youth are encouraged to attend.
Henryville Kiwanis Club Chili Cook-off Oct. 30
The Kiwanis Club of Henryville Annual People’s Choice Chili Cook -Off Saturday ,October 30 will be at the Henryville Community Center ,Chili must be entered by 11:30 a.m. The event will be 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Chili Entry fee is $5.
Benefit breakfast Nov 6 at House of Prayer
The House of Prayer Church, located on State Road 256 in Austin, will be having a benefit breakfast on Saturday, November 6, from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. to help pay for a new furnace. Pastor Bobby Spicer and the congregation invites the community to attend.
Austin Parks Board meets November 4
Members of the Austin Parks Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 4, to conduct business. The meeting will take place in the Community Building at Manaugh Park and is open to the public.
Regional Sewer District Board to meet
The next business meeting of the Scott County Regional Sewer District Board of Directors will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, November 3.
Meetings are open to the public and are held in the Commissioners’ Room on the first floor of the Courthouse in downtown Scottsburg.
