|NHHS cross country finishes third at Brown County|

The North Harrison Cross Country Boy’s Team had another solid performance this weekend with 5 runners getting PRs and 3 runners with their season’s best time at the Brown County Eagle Classic Invitational this past weekend. The large 32 team Invitational had 15 small schools (under 1,000 students) and 17 large schools (over 1,000 students) in attendance that day. The boy’s varsity team won the small school division with a score of 37 points and a pack time of 1:37. The boy’s team came in 3rd place overall with a score of 146 points, losing only to # 1 ranked powerhouse Columbus North (also currently ranked # 1 in the Nation) and to # 6 ranked Lawrence Central. In the small school division, Jonathan Reynolds finished in 2nd place (8th overall) and had a PR time of 16:04, Johnnie Guy finished in 3rd place (13th overall) with a time of 16:15, Ryan Foster in finished in 8th place (30th place overall) with a time of 16:53, Josh Guy finished in 12th place (38th overall) with a season best time of 17:11, Kyle Chesser finished in 17th place (57th overall) with a time of 17:41, and Cody Morgan finished in 33rd place with a PR time of 18:28. The boy’s Varsity team mid-season record as of now stands at 71 wins and 2 losses.
The boy’s JV team scored 236 points and had a pack time of 3:53 finishing in 8th place led by Jason Head coming in 37th place with a PR time of 19:13, Wesley Wiseheart coming in 61st place with a season best time of 20:01, Ben Wellner coming in 88th place with a PR time of 21:06, Conrae Johannes coming in 113th place with a time of 22:39, and Aaron Lett coming in 115th place with a season best time of 23:06. Freshman Wesley Haub competed in the Freshman/Sophomore race and finished in 63rd place with a PR time of 20:34.
The girl’s cross country team had one of their best performances of the year with 3 PRs and 3 season best times at the Eagle Classic Invite. In the girl’s JV race the team scored 325 points and had their best pack time of the season at1:26 and finished in 10th place. Mikayla Gaines finished in 61st place with a PR time of 25:05, Shelby Lindsey finished in 62nd place with a PR time of 25:09, Sydney Taylor finished in 65th place with a season best time of 25:31, Jenna Waiz finished in 67th place with a season best time of 25:47, Abbey Stone finished in 70th place with a time of 26:31, Olivia Davis finished in 72 place with a time of 27:37, Allison Walls finished in 75th place with a PR time of 29:33, and Nisa Moss finished in 78th place with a season best time of 33:07.
