The August meeting of the Franklin Township Farm Bureau is rescheduled to Tuesday evening, August 17.
A Representative from Lucas Oil Products will be guest speaker.  He will give the history as where Lucas Oil began and where they are today.


“We will hear about the Oil Company’s growth and its involvement with racing along with some of the charities this company supports,” Joan TO. Schickel, Franklin Township Farm Woman Leader said in making the announcement.
The meeting will be held in the cafeteria of the Lanesville Junior-Senior High School.
A pot-luck dinner will precede the gathering beginning at 7 pm. 
Farm Bureau members are asked to bring a vegetable and a salad or a dessert.
Meat, drinks and tableware will be provided by Farm Bureau.
Farm Bureau members are also asked to bring flower arrangements of zinnias or marigolds.     They will be used for table center-pieces.
They also will be judged. 
The arrangement judged the most attractive will be awarded $3; all others will receive $1.
There will be an election of officers for the ensuing year. 
The nomination committee is Donnie Wolfe, Dale Lind and Nancy Wolfe. 
Guy Heitkemper, Chairman, Franklin Township Farm Bureau encourages all members, and invites those who are interested the development of Lucas Oil Company at attend this meeting.
