On June 21, 2010 the Indiana State Police received information that two escapees from the Todd County, KY Jail were staying at a hotel on Eastern Boulevard in Clarksville, IN.
At approximately 4:50 p.m. troopers from the Sellersburg Post and Detectives from the Indiana State Police Drug Enforcement Section and Bureau of Criminal Investigation secured a perimeter around the building.
Before Officers attempted to make contact, the subjects exited their room and were taken into custody without incident.
In custody are Scott Patrick Kennedy, 42 and Shawn Anthony Cochran, 28, both of Louisville.  They were taken to the Clark County Jail awaiting extradition back to Kentucky on charges of Escape.  The two were discovered missing from the Todd County Kentucky jail on June 19, during the afternoon hours after a head count of inmates.
Information received during this investigation led officers to a vehicle the subjects allegedly stole from Russellville, KY during their escape.
The vehicle was located in the 5800 block of Crockett Drive in southwestern Jefferson County.  The Louisville Metro Police Department recovered the vehicle.
Kentucky State Police, Logan County (KY) Sheriff’s Department, Russellville (KY) Police Department and Louisville Metro Police Department assisted in the investigation.
