??Floyd Memorial Home Health Services was recently awarded accreditation status by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care, Inc. (ACHC).
ACHC, a private, not-for-profit corporation was developed by home care and community-based providers to help companies improve business operations and quality of patient care.
Accreditation with ACHC is voluntary, and involves peer review of internal policies, processes and patient care delivery against national standards.
“We are so pleased with the outcome of our ACHC survey,” said Mark Shugarmn, president and CEO of Floyd Memorial. “Actively pursuing accreditation is our way of saying to our patients that we are invested in their health and wellness and are committed to delivering the highest level of service, care and satisfaction.”
Floyd Memorial Home Health Services is one of the largest providers serving Southern Indiana offering skilled nursing care, rehabilitative services, medical social services and home health aide services. In 2007, Floyd Memorial’s Health Services was selected as a HomeCare Elite, a designation given to whose performance measures are among the top 25 percent in the country.
