|It’s Almost the Middle of Summer Break! Think YMCA Day Camp|

WOW! I bet the kids at your house are starting to get bored! We have a solution!
YMCA Summer Day Camp! The kids won’t be bored the rest of the summer! My guess is….they won’t even use the word “bored” ever again!
We have openings in are Day Camp for ages 5 through 5th grade – this is great summer fun with swimming, sports, crafts, outdoor education, character development and much more! Weekly fee for Members is $50 per week or $12 per day. Fees for Non Members are $70 per week or $15 per day. Our goal is to send your kid home tired everyday.
Sample Day Camp Daily Schedule
6:00 am Morning Extended Care – There will be activities for children to choose from each morning that may include board games, quiet reading time or coloring.
8:00 am Arrive at the YMCA – Free Time
9:00 am Opening Circle (announcements, songs, skits etc.) all campers come together to welcome the camp day
9:30 am Group Time – Fun Run and Active Games (imaginary bear hunt or jungle crossing, follow the leader fun, group traditions to begin camp day) 9:40 am Bathroom Break and Group Announcements (go over daily schedule, character development, get water, apply sunscreen)
10:00 am Activity Period (Sports, Crafts, Outdoors or Nature depending on the day of the week)
Change into Swim Suits and apply sunscreen
Eat Lunch with group and quiet activities. 12:10 pm To the Salem Middle School Pool with counselors and volunteers
12:30 pm Free Swim and Pool Games with the Counselors and Junior Counselors
2:00 pm Head back to YMCA.
2:30 pm Change into Camp Clothes. Bathrooms break if needed. Quiet Time (story, coloring, songs, skit)
2:40 pm Snack
3:00 pm Group Time (bug hunt, nature hunt, crafts activity, group games)
3:30 pm Daily Wrap-Up (Discuss day and final story)
3:45 pm Closing Circle (announcements, songs, skits, games, contests, recognitions etc) entire camp comes together to end the day.
4:00 pm Afternoon Extended Care – There will be activities for children to choose from each morning that may include board games, quiet reading time or coloring.
We hope to see you this summer and don’t forget Soccer registration starts on July 1.
