At the meeting of the Washington Board of Aviation Commissioners that was held on Wednesday, June 16, the counteroffer that the BOAC submitted to Owen Thompson was rejected and Thompson had submitted another counteroffer to the Board on June 14.
The Board did not accept Thompson’s offer at this time and was also noted that the offer did lack the signature of Thompson. Member Robert Woodward will contact Thompson as soon as possible for a signature from Thompson.
The board will be taking the counteroffer to the congressional meetings in Washington as an exhibit of serious interest in this project. The meetings with Representative Baron Hill and Senator Richard Lugar is set for June 23 in Washington. Making the trip will be President Ronnie Floyd, Blaine Shrum, Danny Habermel, Marc Dewees and Attorney Larry Medlock.
According to Karla Price, RW Armstrong will provide the latest Capital Improvement Plan and visual exhibits to take to the meeting.
