|2010 Scott County Fair grandstand events offers thrills, races and big tractors|

Grandstand events during the 2010 Scott County Fair offers the public a heavy dose of racing and some mighty big tractors as well as a hearty splash of mud and fun.
Shows at the fairgrounds on U.S. Highway 31 South, Scottsburg, begin Sunday night, July 11, and continue through Saturday, July 17. All events cost $8 per adult and $5 for children age 12 and under.
On Sunday, July 11, at 7:30 p.m., stock car races will be offered by T.E. Promotions. The crowd will cheer on drivers in late models, pure stocks, mini-stocks and cruisers.
Four-wheeler races by Rouse Promotions will start at 7 p.m. on Monday, July 12.
One of the most popular events, the mini-enduro race, is scheduled for Tuesday, July 13, starting at 7 p.m. This program is also offered by Rouse Promotions.
The same promotional firm will present autocross for the public enjoyment on Wednesday, July 14, starting at 7 p.m.
The “Battle of the Bluegrass” tractor-pulling event is set for 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 15, at the grandstand.
Light limited super stock, farm stock and hot farm tractors will be featured as well as street diesel trucks.
On Friday, July 16, the ever-popular demolition derby will be held.
The event starts at 7 p.m. for 1980 and newer trucks and mini-cars. Rouse Promotions staff will offer this.
Mud races end the week of events on Saturday, July 17. Start time is 7 p.m., and staff of T.E. Promotions will be in charge.
Tickets will be offered at the fairgrounds box office a couple of hours prior to the start of each event.
