Scott County Spelling Bee set for March 18 PDF Print E-mail

The Pilot Club of Scott County will sponsor the Scott County Spelling Bee on Thursday, March 18, at Scottsburg Middle School. All participants are asked to arrive by 6:40 p.m. The Spelling Bee will begin promptly at 7 p.m. Alternates may compete in the County Spelling Bee if the school winner is not able to attend.
Contestants are encouraged to study words on the Scripts 2010 word list to prepare for the competition.
Those competing are as follows:
Austin Elementary School - Jessica Bowling, fifth grade.
Austin Middle School - Kaitlin Strobel, sixth grade.
Austin Middle School - Jacob Phillips, seventh grade.
Johnson Elementary School - Taylor Funk, fifth grade.
Lexington Elementary School - Katie Hunger, fifth grade.
Scottsburg Elementary School - Dustin Calhoun, fifth grade.
Scottsburg Middle School - Kaleb Mount, sixth grade.
Scottsburg Middle School - John Cleveland, eighth grade.
Vienna-Finley Elementary School - Emma Waskom, fifth grade.
Those who are alternates for the school include:

Austin Middle School - Anna Cooper, sixth grade.
Austin Middle School - Sean Abney, eighth grade.
Johnson Elementary School - Megan Thomas, fifth grade.

Scottsburg Elementary School - Mason Moble, fifth grade.
Scottsburg Middle School - Levi Elliot, sixth grade.
Scottsburg Middle School - Caleb Satterly, eighth grade.
Vienna-FInley Elementary School - Laurel Mills, fifth grade.
