The Indiana High School Athletic Association released pairings for the 35th annual tournament Monday (February 1).
The tournament gets underway with sectional play on Tuesday, February 9.
    Class 4A
Two sectionals that have the state buzzing are Class 4 A Sectional 15 at Floyd Central and Class 2A Sectional 47 at Brownstown Central.
In the 4A sectional at Floyd, the host Lady Highlanders open with a game against Jennings County.
The winner of that game will face Jeffersonville, who received a first-round bye.
The potential Floyd-Jeff semi-final will be a battle of top 10 teams.
It will also be a rematch of a classic overtime battle the two competed in on Dec. xx.
The Lady Highlanders won that contest xx-xx.
New Albany also received a bye. They will play the winner of the Bedford North Lawrence-Seymour game in the semifinals.
The sectional championship will be February 13.
    Class 2A
There are also two top ranked teams competing in Sectional 47. As of the latest poll Jan. 18 Austin is the second-ranked team in Class 2A and Paoli was receiving votes to be in the poll.
Those two teams could face one another for the sectional title if they manipulate their respective brackets.
Paoli seems to have the easier road to the finals. They open play in the first round against a struggling Clarksville program.
The winner of that game will take on Providence in the second round with a trip to the February 13 sectional championship on the line.
Austin will be matched against West Washington in the first round. The winner of that game will take on the winner of the Eastern-Brownstown Central game.
That is one of the more intriguing match ups of the sectional. The Lady Musketeers lost by eight to BC when the two teams met up on December 5.
The Class 2A Sectional 47 championship will be February 13.
    Class 3A
One of the more open sectionals in the state will be Class 3A Sectional 30 at Silver Creek. Of the seven teams competing, all of them have a chance to win the title.
The Lady Dragons will not only host the tournament, they will do so with the bye. They will take on the winner of the North Harrison-Crawford County game with a trip to go to the sectional championship on the line.
In the other half of the bracket, Salem will face Charlestown in the first round and Corydon Central will take on Mitchell.
The winners of those two games will play one another in the sectional championship.
    Class A
Another wide-open sectional will be Class A Sectional 62 at New Washington.
South Central received the bye and will take on the winner of the New Washington Christian Academy of Indiana game.
Rock Creek will square off against Lanesville in the first round. The winner of that game will take on the winner of the Borden-Henryville contest in the sectional semi-finals.
Exact dates and times of sectional match ups have not been determined.
The cost to enter the sectional will be $5 per session or a tournament pass can be purchased for $9.
