The fourth annual Toys for Tykes Poker Run to benefit the North Clark Outreach Center will be held this Saturday, November 7.
The run will begin at Fink’s located at 202 W. Main Street in New Albany. Registration for the ride will begin at 11 a.m. while participants will leave at 12 noon. The actual route taken for the toy run will depend on the weather the day of the ride. The final destination of the ride will be the North Clark Outreach Center located at 240 Harrison Street in Charlestown.
“They usually return back to the Outreach Center between 3 and 4 that afternoon,” Ruthie Jackson stated, Director of the North Clark Outreach Center.
The cost of the toy run is $10 and a new toy.
“We hope that this run brings in lots of toys for the kids in our community,” Jackson added. “This is just one of the ways that we try to make Christmas a little brighter for the kids.”
The toy run will also feature a 50/50 drawing, door prizes and a free meal at the end of the ride.
If you don’t have a motorcycle, don’t worry, you can still enjoy the ride.
“If you want to enjoy the ride with your antique car, you are more than welcome. The ride is not just for motorcycles,” Jackson stated.
She continued, “If you don’t have a motorcycle you are more than welcome to come to the Outreach Center after the ride for fun and fellowship.”
First prize for the best hand will be $100 while the worst hand will receive a trophy.
All proceeds from the ride will benefit the North Clark Outreach Center Elf Tree.
