|Four People Arrested and Six ATV’s and Other Items Recovered|

Detectives and Troopers from the Indiana State Police Post at Sellersburg are still on the hunt for stolen ATV’s and other items such as riding lawn mowers and chain saws after an investigation that began late Thursday night, October 15. Detectives and troopers from the Indiana State Police Post at Sellersburg served a search warrant at 9270 Bird Trail Road NW in Depauw, (Harrison County), after they received information of possible stolen items being at that property. After the search warrant was served troopers recovered an allegedly stolen ATV, an allegedly stolen Dune Buggy and an allegedly stolen utility trailer.
Troopers took four people into custody, Ernest R. Brown, Jr., 29, 9270 Bird Trail Road NW, Depauw, Sara J. Brown, 26, 9270 Bird Trail Road NW, Depauw, Karen A. Billharz, 53, 9270 Bird Trail Road NW, Depauw, and Jeremy S. McAllister, 41, 9270 Bird Trail Road NW, Depauw. All four arrested were charged with Possession of Stolen Property, D Felony and Possession of Property with a Removed VIN Number, D Felony. All four were incarcerated in the Harrison County Jail immediately following the search warrant.
While serving the initial search warrant troopers noticed several items that they believed could also be stolen. As the investigation progressed another search warrant was sought and received to search the property at 9270 Bird Trail Road NW in Depauw, (Harrison County) on the following day, (Friday). During that search warrant troopers discovered four additional allegedly stolen ATV’s an allegedly stolen zero turn lawn mower and an allegedly stolen motor scooter. Troopers also seized two chain saws. The investigation continued into the weekend when another allegedly stolen ATV was located in the Jasper area.
At this time the investigation is continuing with troopers asking anyone who has purchased an ATV, lawn tractor/mower or any other item from Ernest Brown Jr, to please contact the Indiana State Police Post at Sellersburg at 1-800-872-6743 or outside of Indiana at 812-246-2509.
