|Lanesville board deals with school personnel, donations in meeting|

The Lanesville Board of School Trustees had a light regular monthly meeting Tuesday (Oct. 20), and it dealt with personnel decisions and accepting donations.
The board approved teacher contracts for the October 2009 Intercession and Enrichment for the following personnel: Linda Steder, Bethany Miller, Robin Wolfe, Debbie Clark, Erin Green, Jerry Geswein, Lisa Hammond, Ralph J. Hammond, and Brian Book.
The board also approved to pay peer tutors for the same October 2009 Intercession and Enrichment period.
The following bus drivers were also approved their pay for the October 2009 Intercession and Enrichment period: Tim Bridges, Richard Haines, and David Schmelz.
In an unrelated personnel move, Mike Sizemore was approved for the 2009-10 season as freshman boys’ basketball coach.
In the donation department, Target Stores donated $216.10 to the elementary school and $67.99 to the junior-senior high school in the “Take Charge of Education” program.
Rhodella and Jim Schneider donated a total of $300 for the purchase of warm up shirts for the junior high boys’ basketball program.
The high school girls’ basketball program also received $446.25 in a donation from Steve and Carol Smith, along with Tracy Bays.
The donation of $200.00 to the Spanish Club of the junior-senior high school was accepted from Dane Carter.
And the Lanesville Heritage Weekend donated the sum of $100 to the school’s band program.
