?Candidates for 2008 Little Master title enjoy four-wheeling, pets and fishing PDF Print E-mail

    ?Audience members at the 2008 Little Master of Scott County contest should enjoy hearing eight young men comment on their activities, pets and life in general at the competition on Monday evening, July 14.
    Little Masters competitors will march on stage during the event, one of the highlights of the grandstand event on Monday at the 2008 Scott County Fair. The contest will begin at 6 p.m. After the young men compete, 25 little girls will vie for the title of 2008 Little Miss of Scott County.
    The event is organized by members of the Pilot Club of Scott County, which uses funds raised to buy safety helmets and child restraint devices to protect youngsters. Every child will be congratulated and will receive a treat bag. The winner and runner-up will receive trophies and other prizes.
    Competitors will include the following in alphabetical order:
    BROCK ADAMS, 6, son of Sarah and Tim Adams of Lexington. Brock likes to play a lot of sports, including baseball, football, golf and basketball, and he also enjoys fishing, four-wheeling and riding his bike. He has a dog named Caesar.
    CALEB ADAMS, 5, is the son of Sarah and Tim Adams as well. Caleb keeps pace with his older brother, playing baseball, golf and basketball. He too likes fishing, four-wheeling and riding his bike. He shares possession of Caesar with his brother.
    CAMERON BROCK, 4, is the son of Samantha and Travis Brock of Austin. A guy with a great big grin, Cameron likes basketball and baseball. He has two dogs, and a cat named Snowball whose company he enjoys.
    BRANDON JAMES DEATON, 5, is the son of Brenda and Michael Deaton of Scottsburg. Brandon enjoys reading, doing puzzles and playing on swings as well as playing baseball, watching TV, sleep-overs at his cousin’s house and beating his dad at checkers. He has two dogs, Radix and Shadow.
    GAVIN TIMOTHY GAY, 4, is the son of Debbie Anderson of Scottsburg. He loves to ride his bike, playing baseball and riding on his four- wheeler. He also loves to fish with his grandpa. Gavin has two cats, Smokie and Madison.
    DYLAN BLAKE HOLLAN, 4, is the son of Jessica and Wesley Hollan of Scottsburg. Dylan loves his dog named Sam and to ride and race his four-wheeler as well as watching tractor pulls. He’s also in soccer and enjoys playing with his cars. Another activity he likes to do is attend church with his Nanny.
    DALE MORRIS, 4, is the son of Kathie Riley of Austin and Larry Morris of Scottsburg. A young man with a lot of freckles, Dale enjoys playing soccer, fishing and go-kart riding. He is the proud owner of seven fish, two cats and two dogs.
    JORDAN WILLIAM ROBERT SMITH, 5, is the son of Brian and Linda Smith of Lexington. A young man who loves to hang out with his dad, Jordan also likes a good game of baseball, riding four-wheelers, swimming and playing in the mud at his Papaw’s. He has two miniature dachshunds, Zoe and Sassy and two cats, Gizmo and Angel.
    CALEB TURNER, 4, is the son of Cindy Turner and Scott Turner. Caleb is a four-wheeler fan and he also enjoys attending tractor shows with his Mammaw and Pappaw. He’d much rather be playing outside than be in the house, and he likes to ride his bike.
    Cost to attend the Little Miss and Master contest and the Miss Scott County Fair Queen Pageant that will immediately follow the children is $8 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Tickets will be sold at the grandstand office starting Monday afternoon. Contestants will be admitted free of charge.
