|“The Moving Wall” to be on display at Clark County 4-H Fairgrounds|

The City of Charlestown is bringing The Moving Wall? a 50 percent scale replica of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in D.C. to the Clark County 4-H Fairgrounds.
The Moving Wall will be open 24?hours a day for visitors to view, make a "rubbing" of their loved one's names, pay tribute, respect, etc. beginning October 8 through October 12.
There will be an opening and closing ceremony featuring Heather French Henry and possibly other local personalities.
It is believed that thousands of people from all across Indiana and Kentucky will make the trip to visit The Moving Wall in the few days it will be on display.
There are more than 50,000 names on the wall and each name will be read aloud beginning at 12 noon on Thursday the October 8 and ending at approximately 12 noon on Sunday, October11.
The City has requested the Clark County Red Cross coordinate the scheduling of all volunteers needed to help during this display? including the readers of the names. The Clark County Red Cross will also provide a first aid area and grief/crisis counseling on the site.
