    Six employees of the North Harrison Schools were presented with mementos for either 30 years of service or retirement at the Thursday regular monthly meeting of the North Harrison Board of School Trustees.
    Receiving a white rocker form Cracker Barrel Restaurant was Diana Prechtel, who retired as a corporation bus driver.
    Receiving a plaque for 30 years of service were five individuals: Rhonda Harmon (Morgan Elementary), Marvin Kost (Maintenance), Lisa Oehmann (North Harrison Elementary), Gary Potter (North Harrison High School), and Dana Striegel (North Harrison High School).
    The board also approved the advertisement of an Additional Appropriations Public Hearing for the Rainy Day Fund. The figure being considered is for $4 million. The public hearing will be on October 8, 2009.
    In an unrelated financial matter, the board also approved the donation of $600.00 to the high school athletics fund from Jones Machine and Tool.
    In a personnel matter, the board Granted a maternity leave request for April Riddle (North Harrison Elementary School) beginning on August 13, 2009 and ending on September 21, 2009.
    In other business, the board hired the following personnel:

- Heather Comer as a special education instructional assistant at North Harrison Elementary.
- Amanda Hahn as a Title I instructional assistant at North Harrison Elementary.
- Sara Burdick as an instructional assistant at the middle school.
- Rhonda Rowe as an instructional assistant at the middle school and the high school.
- Lark Mull as an Academic Advisor (lay) at the middle school.
- Lark Mull as an Academic Superbowl Team Advisor (lay) at the high school.
- Miriam Robertson as an Academic Superbowl Team Advisor (lay) at the high school.
- Jacob Blanton as an assistant Percussion band instructor (lay) at the high school.
- Chad Lewis as a 7th and 8th grade assistant football coach (lay) at the middle school.
- Joe Dones as the 7th and 8th grade boys’ tennis coach (lay) at the middle school.
- Tiffany Oppel as the 7th and 8th grade cheer coach (lay) at the middle school.
- Jade Spalding as the 5th and 6th grade cheer coach (lay) at the middle school.
- Angela Janes as a volunteer 7th and 8th grade volleyball coach at the middle school.
- Kaleigh Parr as a volunteer 7th and 8th grade cheer coach at the middle school.
- Jackie Bosler and Janice Shipley as cafeteria workers in the middle school.
