Fundraisers to be held for local man recovering from recent motorcycle accident PDF Print E-mail

    Two fundraisers are being planned for a local man who is recovering from a recent serious motorcycle accident.
    Ryan Clausing of Memphis, was traveling home on Friday, August 7 when he was involved in a motorcycle accident just seconds from his home.
    Clausing was STAT flighted to the University of Louisville Hospital for treatment, where he is still recovering from his injuries.
    He sustained extensive injuries including a spinal cord injury at T4 level, severe leg injury from the knee down on his right leg, collapsed right lung, bilateral lung contusions, heart contusion and broken clavicle, scapula, wrist and ankle.

    The first fundraiser for Clausing will be a benefit motorcycle run. The ride will start and end at Wicks Pizza, 10966 Dixie Highway in Louisville. The registration will be from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Kick-stands will go up at 1 p.m.
    Donations will be $15 per rider and $10 for passengers. There will also be a 50/50 drawing at the end of the ride.

    The second planned fundraiser is The Ryan Clausing Foundation Co-Ed Softball Tournament. The tournament will be held on Saturday and Sunday, September 26 and 27 at Seneca Park located at 3151 Peewee Reese Road in Louisville.
    The registration fee will be $300 per team. The entry deadline will be Thursday, September 10.
