Erin Tyler crowned 2010 Washington County queen PDF Print E-mail

One of Erin Tyler’s dreams came true Saturday evening as she was crowned 2010 Washington County Fair Queen and became the 50th  county representative to wear the crown.
When crowned, Tyler was so excited, “I thought oh my goodness this is something I have wanted for a long time.”
A strong storm was approaching the fairgrounds fast so the show started quickly with light drizzle, then by the time Tyler was crowned the sky started to open up as rain began to fall.
Tyler looks forward to representing Washington County in the State Far Pageant in August and also looks forward to eating a fair elephant ear.
This was Tyler’s second time in the pageant. She said her mom was a former contestant and her aunt was named queen.
She entered the pageant because she thought it would be lots of fun and said she has made many wonderful friends from this experience and many were there to lend their support for her that night.
