    The Pirate basketball team traveled to New Washington to face their arch‑rivals, the Mustangs, in the 2009‑10 season opener.  
    Led by junior Anthony Lloyd, who finished the contest with 20 points, the Pirates (1‑0) handed the Mustangs (0‑1) a 58‑45 loss.  
    The Pirates were also led in scoring by junior Joey Wilson, who finished with 10 points respectively.
    Lloyd was named the Tumbletown Gym Player of the Game by Charlestown Pirate Pride Sports Broadcasting.
