| Clark County Taxes due on November 10 |

Janet Hurts, Clark County Treasurer wants to remind taxpayers that their annual tax payment is due on November 10. This payment is for tax year 2008-2009. It is the responsibility of the taxpayer to make sure that their taxes are paid by the due date to prevent a penalty being applied. A 5% penalty will be added to the tax bill when paid within 30 days after the due date and there are no other outstanding delinquent charges. An additional 5% penalty, a total of 10%, will be added to the tax bill when not paid within 30 days after the due date. If you did not receive a tax statement, please contact the Treasurer's Office at (812) 285-6205. Payment options include: Mail: Payment with coupons to the Clark County Treasurer, P.O. Box 1508, Jeffersonville, IN 47131. Enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope for return receipt. Payment is considered on time when postmarked by the US Post Office by the due date. In Person: Treasurer is located in the Clark County Government Building, Rm. 125, Jeffersonville. Please bring entire statement when paying in person. Banks: Mainsource Bank, New Washington and Your Community Bank will accept payments by cash or check with coupon/statement at all Clark and Floyd County locations. Credit Cards: (Visa, Mastercard, Discover or American Express). All credit card payment will be processed through Point & Pay with a convenience fee of 2.95% of your total tax statement, min. $2. You can pay at the Treasurer's Office, by phone at 1-888-891-6064 (option 1) or via internet at http://www.co.clark.in.us/treasurer. |
